Co-ops in:

Creative

There are over 350 co-ops that operate in the creative sector that span a huge range of services. These include photography studios, design agencies, tech companies, theatre and production studios, film agencies and music organisations to name but a few.

Like all co-ops, those operating in the creative sector adopt the values and principles and become equal owners with a valued voice and shared responsibilities. Co-ops within these sectors form for a number a reasons. Often people are looking for a fairer way of working where those contributing to the creative work are fairly rewarded. An example is when freelancers are looking for a fairer and more responsible way of working but want to still work in a team. A co-op can provide some of these benefits, retaining the control and involvement from being freelance while also retaining efficiencies that come with being an agency such as shared resources and multiple skills from other members.
